• Volleyball Recap: Sanford Wins with Largest Margin of the Season (maxpreps.com) — Sanford volleyball fans can celebrate a dominant 3–0 Spartans win over Wells, the team's largest margin of the season, with set scores of 25-12, 25-22, and 25-19. The victory evens some early struggles and lifts Sanford to 3–4 as they head on the road to face Windham Wednesday at 7 p.m., while Wells drops to 2–6. 
• LePage calls for federal crackdown on Medicaid fraud (spectrumlocalnews.com) — State Sen. Matt Harrington of Sanford joined other Republicans in Lewiston urging tougher state and federal action against suspected Medicaid and welfare fraud, including stricter rules on MaineCare providers. Their push includes on-site inspections, faster payment suspensions, and photo IDs on benefit cards, arguing Maine taxpayers deserve stronger oversight of how public assistance dollars are spent.
