Man Charged with Murder in Aberdeen Double Homicide
Harford County Municipal SWAT team, U.S. Marshals and state troopers helped bring Aberdeen murder suspect into custody.
ABERDEEN, MD — Police have arrested the suspected gunman in this week's double homicide in which two people were fatally shot outside an apartment building.
Terrell Darnell Walton, 29, is charged with two counts of first and second-degree murder, two counts of first and second-degree assault and using a firearm to commit a felony.
The Aberdeen Police Department reported that authorities apprehended him Wednesday morning with assistance from the local SWAT team.

At 9 a.m. on Wednesday, the Harford County Municipal SWAT team and Aberdeen Police Department served a search and seizure warrant in the 400 block of Washington Street in Aberdeen, along with the U.S. Marshals and Maryland State Police, officials said.
Walton was located and arrested without incident at the location, police said.

Investigators identified him as the suspect in Monday morning's double homicide outside an apartment in the unit block of East Bel Air Avenue.
Police were called to a report of shots fired and found Taneisha C. Smothers, 31, of Aberdeen, deceased at the scene, while Jumal R. Dudley, 43, of Havre de Grace, was flown in critical condition to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where Aberdeen Police said he later died.
