The company's locations in Glen Burnie, Annapolis and Rosedale, among other bases, will remain open. Service will continue to be provided through the remaining stores, online shop and the West Marine Pro App.
"This decision reflects our effort to align our store footprint with our current business needs, while continuing to evaluate our portfolio in coordination with landlords," the company said in a statement to Patch.
West Marine previously announced that its restructuring decision was prompted by a variety of challenges, including supply chain disruptions, extreme weather events and shifting consumer behaviors.
Founded in 1968, the company operated over 200 stores.
