MARYLAND — Rounds of rain, then snow, then back to rain will make for sloppy weather conditions on Wednesday across the Baltimore-Washington, D.C., region. A few inches of snow are expected in far western parts of Maryland, the National Weather Service said.

In the Frederick area, and in Garrett County, mixed precipitation is expected with an inch or two of snow in the morning, plus some ice, before changing to rain by mid-morning, the National Weather Service said.

Winds gusting as high as 35 mph are also possible.
