• Residents fear Frederick County will be the new ‘data center alley' (cnsmaryland.org) — Adamstown residents are pushing back against a massive data center zone planned largely on local farmland and a former aluminum smelting brownfield, citing mud, possible contamination, noise, and heavy water use. A citizen-led committee gathered over 21,000 signatures to force a November referendum on Frederick County’s zoning expansion, while supporters highlight jobs and millions in new tax revenue.
