10 Child Porn Charges Filed Against Annapolis Man
An Annapolis man faces multiple charges for possessing and distributing child pornography, Anne Arundel County Police say.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — An Annapolis man faces nearly a dozen charges for possessing and distributing child pornography, Anne Arundel County Police say. An investigation into online child pornography led police to a person in December 2016 that detectives believe was sharing child pornography.
On Jan. 18, detectives from the county police department's Child Abuse Unit executed a search warrant in the 1000 block of Poplar Avenue in Annapolis. After several subpoenas and a search warrant were served, a computer was recovered as evidence from an upstairs bedroom in the home of Jeremy Kane Waldman, 31, of the 1000 block of Poplar Avenue.
The Anne Arundel County Digital Forensics Unit examined the computer and recovered more than a thousand images and videos of child exploitation material. On March 8, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Waldman charging him with five counts of child pornography promote/distribution and five counts of possession of child pornography.

Child abuse detectives took Waldman into custody without incident at his home on March 10.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department is an affiliate of the Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which is comprised of police agencies from around the state. Its primary mission is to protect children from computer-facilitated sexual exploitation.

The task force works cooperatively with law enforcement agencies and prosecutors to provide resources to combat these crimes. Additionally, the task force provides community awareness campaigns helping to prevent the spread of these crimes through education.
