All Non-Emergency Vehicles Banned from Annapolis Streets
Annapolis has banned all vehicles from the road, except for snow removal and emergency vehicles. Transit services have shut down.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — The city’s snow emergency has increased, and only snow equipment and emergency vehicles are allowed on the road.
Annapolis Mayor Michael Pantelides announced the city will go to a Level 3 Snow Emergency at 10 a.m. Saturday.
A Level 3 Snow Emergency prohibits all vehicles from city streets in Annapolis except snow equipment, emergency vehicles or others authorized by the mayor.

Annapolis Transit services and parking enforcement are suspended for Saturday, Jan. 23.
The Pip Moyer Recreation Center and the Stanton Center are also closed Saturday, Jan. 23, and Sunday, Jan. 24, with all recreation programs and rentals cancelled.

As of this morning, 13 inches of snow has been reported in the Annapolis area and Public Work crews continue to focus on clearing Snow Emergency Routes to keep them passable.

Public Work crews were deployed on Friday at 4 p.m. and have been focusing on clearing Snow Emergency Routes in an effort to keep them passable. They will remain on 12-hour shifts through the duration of the storm.

The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard watch from Friday afternoon through Sunday morning. The National Weather Service is calling for the heaviest snow and gusty winds expected through Saturday night.
