• Man Faces Attempted Murder Charge in Annapolis Stabbing (southernmarylandchronicle.com) — Annapolis residents should know that county police arrested a 26-year-old local man after a Sept. 19 stabbing on Epping Forest Road that left another man hospitalized but in stable condition. Detectives quickly identified the suspect, obtained a warrant, and took him into custody near Forest Drive and Solomons Island Road, and they're still asking anyone with information to contact investigators or the anonymous tip line.
• Eastport Residents Protest Mercedes Renovation, Question City's Approval Process (eyeonannapolis.net) — Eastport neighbors are protesting the dramatic black-and-gray makeover of Mercedes-Benz of Annapolis, saying the city's approval process—not just the dealership—deserves scrutiny. Residents and the Eastport Civic Association question how a 2005 condition for unpainted brick was changed, what notice neighbors received, and whether Annapolis followed its own rules for revising and approving the renovation plans.
• Maryland named one of Lonely Planet's best destinations to visit in 2027 (wmar2news.com) — Annapolis is among the Maryland destinations getting a boost from Lonely Planet, which just named the state one of its top places to visit in 2027. The guide praises Maryland's mix of history, culture, food, and waterways, from Baltimore and Annapolis to the Eastern Shore and beyond, recognition that could bring more visitors and tourism dollars into local shops, restaurants, and attractions.
