Annapolis Band Kit & The Chardonnay Boys Release LB

From Kit & The Chardonnay Boys:Kit & The Chardonnay Boys are coming at you crisp and high in tannins, with a toasty debut LP "BOYS" being released on Maryland's own Tiny Horns Records December 8th , 2017. These guys have been international touring artists for years in previous groups the Dirty Names and the AMFMS, and now with new songs and a new sound they are gearing up for some national exposure in the coming months. With upcoming videos for the album's singles and another follow-up EP ready for the spring, they are on the tip of pushing onwards and upwards in the current musical echelon.

Kit Whitacre started to write the songs on this LP when still involved in previous touring groups the Dirty Names and the AMFMS, tearing along the American and European continents for months at a time. With his songs and bringing some of his other band mates from those groups (Sam Wetterau and Matt Rose) along, he has spent the last few years honing the crafts of songwriting and producing. The LP “Boys” was produced in a basement not far from historic downtown Annapolis, and is teaming with influences past, present and future. The retro rock shimmer of his musical youth is still very strong in the material, but the forward leaning pop and modern psychedelic waves are definitely there as well. This record is here to combine the straight-ahead songwriting style of artists such as Tom Petty, The Who, and the Cars with newer sounds and grooves, a la the Growlers, Broncho, and the Black Keys. The records you've loved and the records you will continue to love have one thing in common: timeless songs and an inspired force. "BOYS" has both of these in spades. The tunes are cut from a classic cloth, yet are pushing into the future with their drive to bring young listeners the
quality of pure Rock n Roll many feel lacking in the current pop soundscape.
