Annapolis Bar Named Among America’s Best For St. Patrick’s Day
An Annapolis bar has earned a ranking among America's 50 best for celebrating St. Patrick's Day, according to Travel and Leisure.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Annapolis residents still looking for a place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day may want to head to Galway Bay Irish Restaurant and Pub. The popular Annapolis venue has been named as one of America’s Top 50 places to go Irish on March 17, according to Travel+Leisure.
The Top 50 rankings from across the country were compiled based upon Yelp’s user reviews. The Celtic House Irish Pub & Restaurant in Arlington, Virginia, earned first-place honors in the listing. Galway Bay was the only Maryland pub to make the list, ranking No. 36.
Yelp reviewer Gary B. says, "...The staff are friendly and the service is very good. The food is good, although hardly gourmet, but they are not trying to aspire to such. This is a local place for the denizens of Annapolis, tourists in the season, and politicians when the legislature is in session. The prices are reasonable both in the bar and restaurant. This is a friendly place and the owners work hard to make it so. My only complaint is that for an Irish place the beer and ale selections are rather poor. If you like Guinness, they do have that but the rest of the beer selection is substandard."

And commenter Clay D. wrote, "This is one of my go-to bars in downtown Annapolis. It's off of the main street/harbor area, so it tends to be a little quieter than average. Amazing atmosphere, really enjoyable. Its a little expensive though, but comparable to other places in Annapolis."
