Annapolis Crime: Stabbing; Arrest in Christmas Eve Assault

The following arrest information was supplied by the Annapolis Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The Annapolis Police Department (APD) provided the following information on recent incidents in the city:

Stabbing—A 19-year-old man was stabbed in the abdomen early Wednesday. Officers found him lying on the sidewalk in the 1100 block of Madison Street at about 2:30 a.m. after responding to a call about an injured man.

The man was flown to Prince George's Hospital Center, where he is in stable condition.

Assault arrest—An officer arrested an Arnold man in connection with an attempted robbery and carjacking on Christmas Eve that left a 62-year-old man with severe lacerations to his face.

At about 3:30 a.m. Dec. 24, police responded to the area of President and Madison streets near the Harbor House Community Center. They said three men were involved in an attempted robbery and carjacking and assaulted another man with a broken bottle.

Police said they arrested Rodell Joseph Hicks, 23, of the 800 block of Wilson Road, Arnold on Thursday in connection with the incident. He is charged with first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, attempted carjacking, malicious destruction of property valued at $500, reckless endangerment, attempted theft of less than $100, rogue and vagabond, two counts of attempted robbery and attempted theft of a vehicle, according to online court records.

He was being held on $50,000 bond, which has since been reduced to $20,000.

Police said they are still looking for Traymont Ontario Larkins, 23, of Annapolis, in suspected connection with the same incident. If you have information, contact 911 or call 410-268-4141.

Theft from vehicle—Someone stole four 15-inch aluminum alloy wheels with Goodyear tires from two vehicles parked in the 1100 block of West Street sometime between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Another similar incident was reported earlier in the week involving vehicles elsewhere on West Street.

Burglary—Officers arrested an Annapolis man in connection with an incident where they discovered a man in a vacant apartment in the unit block of Clay Street at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The front door lock had been forced open.

Nathan Delvon Savoy, 32, of the 200 block of Bloomsbury Square, Annapolis was charged with fourth-degree burglary and trespassing.
