Annapolis Crime: Guitar, Sax Stolen, Another Car Recovered

The  (APD) provided the following information on recent incidents in the city.

Stolen vehicle recovered—On Friday, officers recovered a 1999 Acura that was stolen on Tuesday from the 600 block of Greenbriar Lane. They said they found the vehicle in the unit block of Beacon Court parked, unoccupied and locked. It had been stolen as it sat unlocked with the engine running.

Burglary—Someone stole a brass and silver alto saxophone with "Vito" engraved on it, along with a 1976 Fender electric guitar with a worn blonde finish and white pick guard from a home in the 900 block of Windwhisper Lane. The incident happened sometime between 7 p.m. March 5 and 7:30 p.m. Friday.

The saxophone was in a hard black case with silver corners and the guitar was in a soft black case. There was no sign of forced entry into the home.

Burglary—Someone pried open the rear screen door to a home in the unit block of Cypress Road between 9:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. Friday. Nothing appeared to be taken from the home. Officers said the inner rear door may have been left open.

Burglary—Someone stole a white Specialized women's Ruby bicycle from an unlocked shed in the backyard of a home in the 1000 block of Moss Haven Court. The incident happened sometime between 11 a.m. March 3 and 10 a.m. Friday.
