School officials altered schedule for Monday, March 2.

UPDATE: Anne Arundel County Public Schools will be closed on Monday, March 2.

The school system issued the following announcement Monday morning:

INCLEMENT WEATHER NOTICE: After further evaluation of weather and travel conditions, all AACPS schools and offices will be closed today. A Code Red is in effect for employees. Unit III personnel must report to their work locations as required by their negotiated agreement.

Public schools and school offices in Anne Arundel County will open on a two-hour delay on Monday, March 2, school officials announced.

Here’s the announcement the school system issued Sunday night:

Due to inclement weather, all Anne Arundel County Public Schools will open two hours late tomorrow, March 2. There will be no morning half-day pre-kindergarten or ECI classes. Students in full-day pre-kindergarten classes will have class, and should report two hours later than normal.

AACPS officials will continue to re-evaluate conditions in the early morning hours and any further changes will be announced through normal avenues.
