Bloomingdale's, Container Store: Businesses Annapolis Wants

Annapolis residents have some requests for businesses they want in town, including grocery store and dining options, plus a boat dealer.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — We asked Annapolis Patch readers what businesses they would like to see come to town, and you answered. In fact, the responses were overwhelming when we posed the question on Facebook, with quite a few residents hoping for new grocery store and dining options.

Patch got dozens of comments that included requests for a new grocery store chain and more shopping options such as World Market and the Container Store, plus restaurants that would bring new Persian or Chinese food to town.

Overall readers want a mix of independently-owned businesses as well as chains. The retailers with support included clothing stores Stein Mart and Bloomingdale's, along with Publix grocery, Trader Joe's, and a yacht business.
