Bowie Man Threatens To Kill People In Annapolis Brawl: Police

A Bowie man with a loaded handgun threatened to kill people during a fight on Market Space, say Annapolis Police.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A Bowie man with a loaded handgun threatened to kill people during a brawl on Market Space early Saturday, according to Annapolis Police. Officers saw a group of people fighting outside on Market Space shortly after midnight.

As officers approached, the group split up and started leaving the area. Witnesses told police that one of the suspects involved in the fight had a handgun and threatened to kill other participants in the fight.

Officers located the suspect and reportedly found a loaded handgun in his waistband. The suspect was identified as Garrett Bailey, 21, of Bowie.

Police say the serial number to the weapon had been partially filed off. Bailey was arrested and charged with first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, and six charges relating to possession of handgun. He is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bond.
