Two Baltimore women are charged with assaulting someone who tried to stop them from leaving Annapolis Mall after stealing $1.4K from store.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Two Baltimore women reportedly compounded a likely shoplifting arrest into assault and carjacking charges when they attacked a bystander trying to stop their getaway.
Anne Arundel County Police received a call Saturday afternoon reporting a shoplifting in progress at Westfield Annapolis Mall. The suspects allegedly stole $1,427.23 worth of clothing from a store and then attempted to flee the scene in a vehicle.
A bystander saw the pair of female suspects get into a vehicle and blocked them in with their vehicle, official said. The suspects reportedly hit the bystander’s vehicle in an effort to get away, but were unsuccessful.
