Cab Driver Beaten, Home Break-Ins: Annapolis Police Reports
Several homes, both occupied and unoccupied, were broken into over the weekend, say Annapolis Police.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A string of home breakins and the assault of a cab driver were among the incidents the Annapolis Police Department handled Dec. 17-21.
Burglary – Unit block of Silverwood Circle – 12/17 from 11:30am to 8pm: Money was stolen from a home. There were no signs of forced entry.
Theft from Vehicle – 200 block of Claude Street – 12/17 at 11pm to 12/18 at 8am: Money was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Burglary – 1400 block of Tyler Avenue – 12/18 at 11:20am: Officers responded for a report of plywood pried off a vacant unit in the area. When they searched the home they discovered Jonathan Hill, 19, of Annapolis inside. Hill was arrested and charged with fourth-degree burglary. He also admitted to a recent burglary in the same area and was charged with fourth-degree burglary and destruction of property in that case.
Burglary – 900 block of Langdon Court – 12/18 from 8:30am to 7:45pm: The rear door to the home was forced open and an Amazon Kindle, a digital camera, and jewelry and watches were stolen.

Burglary – 100 block of Scott Drive – 12/19 from 10:30am to 4:15pm: The home owner returned and found the home ransacked. It is unknown what was stolen at this time. There were no signs of forced entry.
Burglary – 900 block of Forest Drive – 12/20 from 12:50pm to 7:30pm: The front door was forced open and a handgun, money, and jewelry were stolen from the home.
Attempted Robbery – 600 block of Island Creek Court – 12/21 at 12:20am: The victim, an adult male cab driver, was in the 1700 block of Forest Drive when he was approached by three male suspects requesting a ride. They got in the cab and rode around the city and then to Island Creek Court. When they pulled up in the court one of the suspects grabbed the cab driver around the neck from behind and the other two began to assault him. The victim was able to break free and exit the cab. The suspects fled the area on foot toward Yawl Road.
