Celebrate Annapolis Evangelical Lutheran's 1st Anniversary

The Annapolis Evangelical Lutheran Church will celebrate its first anniversary Feb. 26 with a special guest preacher leading a commemorative worship.

The Rev. Dr. Gemechis Buba, the North American Lutheran Church missions director, will join Annapolis Lutheran Pastor Gerald Miller for the service at 9 a.m.

“We give thanks to God for the blessings of our first year as Annapolis Evangelical Lutheran Church,” Miller said in a release. “We rejoice to be, not only a mission congregation, but also a congregation in mission, serving others in our community and beyond.”

There will be a celebration after the service with special music, recognition of mission partners, fellowship, refreshments and a year-in-review slide show, according to the release.

Everyone is invited to join in the celebration.

The church worships each Sunday at 9 a.m. at the Annapolis Area Christian School, middle school campus on Bestgate Road.

Annapolis Lutheran is affiliated with the North American Lutheran Churches and the Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ, according to the release.
