ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — An employee at Anne Arundel Community College has tested positive for the new coronavirus, college President Dawn Lindsay announced over the weekend. According to the college newspaper, Campus Current, Lindsay sent a follow-up email that stated the employee “did not have direct contact with students and had limited contact with some staff” and was not presently at the college.
Lindsay said the Maryland Department of Health is informing those who had contact with the employee.
“It was … reasonable to assume that, at some point, one or more of us [from the campus community] would exhibit symptoms of COVID-19,” Lindsay said in the email. “That has now happened.”
