County Police Make Arrest in Westfield Robbery

Anne Arundel County police have arrested one man and are searching for two others in connection with a robbery in a garage at .

Police said they worked with several other police departments in the region and  were able to track the men they believe are responsible for the Feb. 23 robbery to Washington, DC.

Police said three men wrestled a box containing a laptop computer from a man and tried unsuccessfully to steal some packages from a woman before jumping into a black BMW and driving away.

According to a release, officers spoke with the victims—a 54-year-old woman and a 64-year-old man—along with several witnesses after the incident and were able to track the BMW, which was stolen.

Police collaborated with Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, DC, and the Montgomery County Police Department to identify and locate the suspects.

On Feb. 29, police served a search warrant in the 300 block of Oneida Street in Washington and arrested Stephon Alonte Harrigan, 18, on robbery charges, according to the release. Detectives said they also found evidence in the house that directly linked him to the robbery.

Police said they have arrest warrants for Stephon Harrigan’s brother, Ronald M. Harrigan, 20, and another unidentified man.

Police said they are continuing to investigate and thanked the witnesses who waited to speak with police.
