Driver Hurt When SUV Slams Into Tree In Gambrills
A Prince George's County man was seriously injured Friday when his SUV went off the road in Gambrills, police say.

GAMBRILLS, MD — A Prince George's County man was seriously injured Friday morning when his SUV went off Crain Highway and slammed into a tree in Gambrills. Anthony Jerome Contee, 52, of the 900 block of Carriage House Lane in Upper Marlboro was hurt in the one-vehicle accident, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
Investigators say that Contee's 2002 Chevy Tahoe was northbound on Crain Highway near Route 32 when for an unknown reason the SUV veered onto the shoulder of the road and struck a tree. Contee suffered serious injuries and was taken to R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. where he is listed in stable condition.
At this time, speed does not appear to be a contributing factor, police say.
