Fundraiser Launched After Fire Breaks Out At Fast Signs
A fundraiser has been launched after a fire broke out at the Fast Signs business in Annapolis last week.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A fundraising effort was launched this week to help in the aftermath of the fire that impacted Fast Signs in Annapolis.
The GoFundMe was started Monday, with a goal of $6,000. At the time of publishing, the fundraising effort collected over $4,200.
"The impact of this tragedy has been felt deeply by the entire team, as the workplace they relied on was lost in an instant," reads a post published on the page.

"We are raising funds to assist these wonderful employees with wages, replacing personal items lost in the fire, and supporting their families during this challenging time."
Emergency crews with the Annapolis Fire Department responded to the fire on Friday after 4 p.m. at Fast Signs' location on Margaret Avenue.

A total of 65 firefighters responded to the scene, with additional crews called in from both the Anne Arundel County Fire Department and the Naval District Washington Fire Department station in Annapolis.
The AFD said the fire was extinguished in less than an hour and that no injuries were reported.
A release by officials indicated the cause of the fire was accidental, as it had originated from a laser cutter.
Eye On Annapolis reported that Fast Signs' operations have since moved to the company's Arbutus location, at 1589 Sulphur Spring Road.
