Heroin Arrest, Gunshot Victim: Annapolis Police Reports

Also, child abuse will be the topic of the Feb. 10 Neighborhood Watch meeting.

From the Annapolis Police Department:

In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 89 calls for service and arrested 11 people.

Heroin Arrest – On 02/04 at 12:40pm officers arrested a man for distribution of heroin. An observant citizen called the police when she saw a man walking in rear yards in the 100 block of Quiet Waters Place. Officers arrived and when the man, Donovan Robinson, 20, of White Plains, saw officers he ran entering private property posted No Trespassing. Officers chased Robinson and arrested him in the unit block of Marcs Ct. Robinson had nine small bags of heroin, weighing 3.9 grams and over $1,000 when arrested. Robinson was charged with two counts of trespassing, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, and possession of CDS. Robinson posted $5,000 bond and was released from the Detention Center.

Traffic Accident – 1900 block of West St – 02/04 at 3:30pm: A vehicle struck a BG&E pole, moving it into the roadway. West Street was shut down as BG&E responded to replace the pole. The road was partially reopened at 9pm and fully reopened at 10:20pm.

Shooting – West Washington St near West St – 02/05 at 1:13am: An officer was in the area when he heard gunshots. Officers searched the area for a victim or suspect. About ten minutes later Anne Arundel County Police Department notified officers that a shooting victim had arrived at Anne Arundel Medical Center. The victim, a 46-year-old man from Annapolis, reported he was in the area of West Washington St near West St when he was shot in the right side. He was taken to Baltimore Shock Trauma. Neighborhood Watch Meeting
The next Neighborhood Watch meeting will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 10, from 6:30pm to 8pm at Annapolis Police Headquarters, 199 Taylor Avenue.
