Homeowners Find Drugs During Rental Inspection: Police

In the last 72 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 246 calls for service and arrested 22 people.

Drug Arrest – On 03/06 Officers from the Annapolis Police Department saw Christopher Stewart, 22, of Annapolis in the 200 block of Croll Drive. Stewart had two active warrants tied to trespassing charges. Stewart allegedly ran from officers, dropping a large bag of illegal drugs. Stewart was caught and arrested. The bag Stewart dropped contained numerous smaller bags of heroin, and small bags containing powdered cocaine, crack cocaine, and marijuana. Stewart was charged with three counts of possession with intent to distribute and two counts of possession of CDS. He is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center on $25,000 bond.
Drug Distribution Charges – On 03/07 Officers from the Annapolis Police Department arrested five people at a home in the unit block of Cypress Road for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Officers were standing by for the home owners during an inspection of the rental property when the owners discovered drug paraphernalia. The officers obtained a search warrant and discovered 388 grams of marijuana as well as marijuana seeds. Adam Schneider, 19, of Davidsonville, Cassidie Gammon, 19, of Edgewater, Cody Hicks, 21, of Princess Anne, Mary Lord, 51, and Nicholas Wang, 25, both of Annapolis were charged with CDS possession with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, and possession of CDS paraphernalia. All were released by the District Court Commissioner.

Theft from Vehicle – 600 block of Taylor Av – 02/12 from 7am to 12:13pm: A handicap placard was stolen from an apparently unlocked vehicle.
Theft – 1900 block of Moreland Pkwy – 03/06 at 6pm to 03/07 at 6am: An unattached flat bed tandem axle equipment trailer with a white and orange Bobcat loader on it was stolen from a parking lot.
Armed Robbery – 1000 block of Baywind Dr – 03/08 at 9:10pm: The adult male pizza delivery driver was making a delivery in the area when he was approached by a male suspect wearing a mask. The suspect displayed a knife and demanded the food being delivered. The suspect grabbed the food and ran towards Whiton Court.
