Last-Ditch Effort To Save Valentine's Day

It may already be too late for dinner, but it's not too late to salvage what is left of this Valentine's Day.

Here's a quick list of ideas to help you as you scramble on your way home from work or as you sit there on the couch trying to avoid the glares.

But you have to move quick if you want to make some of these.

Some late-night Valentine's ideas from me to you to help save your hide:

• : Open until 9 p.m. It's the mall. You know what's there. If you can't find a last-minute gift there, you're not looking hard enough.
• : Open until 11 p.m. Target in the could be your one-stop shop. You could grab a card, candy and most likely a gift that could pass as romantic.
• : Open until midnight. You have two options—the Festival at Riva or Bay Ridge Road on the Annapolis Neck Peninsula. This could be the ace in the hole with its floral department.
• , Riva Road: Open 24 hours. If a card is the missing piece to your puzzle, this is your spot. You can also pick up some candy and a stuffed bear to package it with.
• : The Vow, this season's romantic movie has late showings at the Harbour Center theaters at 9:40 and 10:30 p.m.
• : Open until 11 p.m. Cap off your evening that you can claim has been planned for weeks with a late-night dessert of some of Annapolis' best cheesecake.
