"Life in Portraits" Exhibit Now Open

"Life in Portraits" is the theme and title of the Fall/Winter art exhibit opening today at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport between concourses C & D . The exhibit, featuring the work of Anne Arundel County artists will be on display through January 6th.The exhibit will also be available for view online (www.acaac.org)

Sixteen artists : Kathryn Bahusiewicz. Don Dement, Jim Earl, James H. Finnerty, Kristy Fisher, Robert Gallagher, Mariana Georgiera, Sheila Guevin. ,Richard Isaacman, Lucretia Krick,Lora Moran-Collins, Terry Peterson, Susan Picard, Richard Niewerth, James Saylor, Marietta Schreiber, Rick Schimpf,, and Annette Uroskie utilize a variety of mediums to capture the likeness and spirit of their subjects.

The Arts Council of Anne Arundel County provides grants and support to over forty nonprofit organizations. Providing a resource for the cultural arts community through advocacy, funding, programming, and promotions; the Arts Council supports a variety of groups that include Chesapeake Arts Center, West County Creative Arts , Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts and the Londontown Foundation . The Arts Council also administers the Arts in Education Program serving both public and private Anne Arundel County Schools, which provides grant funding to bring performances and artists into auditoriums and classrooms.
