MARYLAND — The Old Line State saw several good news stories this week. A home decor store, two healthy restaurants and a new day care all made opening announcements recently. Plus, Maryland's most famous spice maker is looking for a taco expert.

A classic lighthouse will reopen for the first time since 2019. Elsewhere on the water, a seafood wholesaler is harvesting catfish to save the Chesapeake Bay. One community topped it off by raising money to buy a new ice cream truck for a local driver.
