Reminder: No Classes Thursday for Anne Arundel Students
Anne Arundel County Public Schools have a teacher workday on Thursday, extending the semester break for students.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A reminder that while all Anne Arundel County Public Schools’ schools and administrative offices will open on time for staff Thursday, Jan. 28, students have the day off from classes.
Wednesday’s closing moved the teacher workday back a day to Thursday, and means that schools will be closed for students on Thursday, too.

At this time, the third marking period will begin for students on Friday, Jan. 29. It will be an A Day for high school and middle school students, and a C Day for middle school students.
The school system has used two of the five days built into the calendar for inclement weather closings.

Plea for Residents to Shovel
Anne Arundel County officials continue to urge residents to help in the snowstorm cleanup by shoveling sidewalks and digging out nearby fire hydrants in their communities.
County Trash, Recycling Pickup
Anne Arundel County curbside collection of trash and recycling will resume on Thursday, Jan. 27, and follow the normal schedule for Thursday and Friday customers. Monday and Tuesday customers will have their collections resumed next week.
