Severn Man Seriously Hurt In Annapolis Shooting: Police
A Severn man is in serious condition at a local hospital after an Annapolis shooting, police say.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A Severn man is in serious condition at a local hospital after an Annapolis shooting. Annapolis Police say Marvin Venerable, 34, of Severn, was shot just after 4 a.m. on Nov. 24 in the 1100 block of Madison Street. Officers found Venerable outside in the parking lot, according to a news release.
Venerable was taken to an area hospital for treatment. He is in stable, but serious condition, police say.
Detectives believe the shooting occurred in the parking lot in the 1100 block of Madison Street. Authorities anyone with information about this shooting to contact detectives at 410-260-3439. While there have been other shootings this year, the city has recorded only one murder; Kory Johnson, 27, of Bens Drive, was shot Oct. 30 in what appeared to be a targeted attack. There have been no arrests in the first murder recorded in the city limits since November 2017.
Johnson was taken to the hospital for treatment, but died from his injuries. Police spokeswoman Sgt. Amy Miguez told the Capital that Johnson was shot in the torso while he was in front of his Bay Ridge Gardens apartment. Investigators are working to find the shooter and determine why Johnson was targeted, she said.
