Stolen Audi, Stolen Scooter: Annapolis Police Calls

April 28 – Coffee with a Cop from 8am to 10am at McDonald’s, 1941 West St.

In the last 72 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 281 calls for service and arrested 27 people.

Stolen Scooter – On 04/18 at 8 p.m. officers arrested a man reportedly driving a stolen scooter on Spa Road near Gentry Court. Juliano Bowes, 26, of Annapolis was stopped because he was not wearing a helmet and the scooter had no registration sticker. Officers discovered the scooter was stolen in November from Prince George’s County. Bowes was arrested and charged with motor vehicle unlawful taking, theft less than $1,000, and several traffic infractions. Bowes was released by the District Court Commissioner.

Shots Fired – Unit block of Bens Drive – 04/18 at 12:45 a.m.: A resident reported that a bullet came through the kitchen window and lodged in the living room wall of her apartment. Other residents reported that they heard several gunshots and saw a grey SUV quickly leave the area. The rear windshield of the SUV may have been shattered.

Stolen and Recovered Vehicle – Bricin Street at Melrob Court - 04/17 from 11 p.m. to 04/18 at 1 a.m.: A destroyed silver 2012 Audi was found by Anne Arundel County Police officers on Honeysuckle Lane. Annapolis Police officers contacted the owner of the vehicle who reported that he last saw the vehicle parked in the area of Bricin Street and Melrob Court.

Assault – 200 block of Rowe Boulevard – 04/19 at 10 p.m.: – A 37-year-old woman reported that her ex-boyfriend, Drex White, 40, of Crownsville, assaulted her. The woman reported that White strangled her and held a knife to her throat. Officers located White and arrested him. White was charged with first-degree assault and destruction of property. He is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center on $35,000 bond.
