Suspects Trail Man From Casino To Annapolis Police Station

Two theft suspects followed a driver from Horseshoe Casino to the Annapolis Police Station, where officers arrested them on drug charges.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A man who was approached by a couple at Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore was followed by a vehicle and was targeted by the pair of would-be robbers to Annapolis, according to charging documents. The intended victim couldn't shake the couple following him, o he drove to the Annapolis Police Station, where officers arrested two people in the trailing car on drug charges.

The incident happened Dec. 22 when the vehicle pulled up behind the victim’s vehicle and the woman driver reportedly pointed a handgun at the victim.

Police say the victim feared he was going to be robbed and ran into the police station to get help. Officers immediately stopped the suspects in their vehicle, and found a BB gun designed to look like a real gun and 13 baggies of marijuana were found inside the car.

Breiya Evans, 23, of Owings Mills was the driver and Patrick Palmer, 25, of Baltimore was the other occupant of the vehicle. Both suspects were arrested and charged with attempted armed robbery, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, and nine other charges.

Evans was released after posting $5,000 bond and Palmer is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center.

WTOP reports Evans approached the victim at the casino, and was rebuffed. Evans then drove the vehicle that followed the man.
