Teen Surrenders to Police on Attempted Murder Charge
Annapolis Police say the 17-year-old has been charged as an adult with attempted murder and is being held without bond.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — An Annapolis teen sought on a charge of attempted murder turned himself in to the Annapolis Police Department on Monday.
Eric Offutt, 17, was charged as an adult for the Feb. 24 shooting that occurred in the 1100 block of Madison Street.
The 32-year-old victim was shot in the leg during a failed robbery attempt. Police say the victim was treated at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for non-life threatening injuries.

Offutt was charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder, armed robbery, robbery, first- and second-degree assault, use of a firearm in a felony or violent crime, handgun on person, and possession of a handgun by a minor.
Police say Offutt is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bond.
