Uncharted, the lifestyle retail store that took over the former Party Center location in Annapolis, officially opened on Tuesday.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Lifestyle retail store Uncharted officially opened its doors to the public on Tuesday, with plans for a grand opening in a few weeks.

Patch previously reported in February that the store was aiming for a "mid-2026 open date."

Customers can visit Uncharted from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Festival at Riva shopping center. On Saturday, doors stay open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Uncharted took over the space left vacant by Party City at 2325 H Forest Drive.

Festival at Riva marketing manager Steven Crews told Patch that Party City had held the Forest Drive space since 1996, when it was known as the Factory Card Outlet.

The company rebranded as Party City in 2007.

The longtime tenant withdrew from its area after the company filed for bankruptcy a second time in December 2024.

Uncharted's arrival to Anne Arundel County marks its first Maryland base. Crews told Patch that the lease was signed for a 10-year tenancy.

A representative told Patch the store was planning for a grand opening by the end of the month.

The Festival at Riva location, however, isn't the lone Uncharted site in the state anymore.

Since Patch's initial reporting, the company has also opened a location in Columbia, at 6181 Old Dobbin Lane. This location's official grand opening is scheduled for Saturday at 9 a.m.
