Unlocked Doors Invite Thieves Inside: Annapolis Police Calls

From the Annapolis Police Department:

In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 86 calls for service and arrested 14 people.

Theft from Vehicle – 200 block of Victor Pkwy – 04/19 at 9pm to 04/20 at 12:30pm: Money was stolen from the vehicle after the passenger side rear quarter window was smashed.

Burglary – Unit block of Bunche St – 05/01 to 05/02: Two black Microsoft Xbox 360 game consoles, a Sony Vaio laptop computer, and a pink Tabeo tablet computer were stolen from an unlocked home.

Theft from Vehicle – 1000 block of Bay Ridge Av – 05/01 from 8pm to 10pm: Prescription medication was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Cinco de Mayo DUI Checkpoint
The Annapolis Police Department will be conducting a DUI Checkpoint in Annapolis on May 5 on West Street near Amos Garrett Boulevard. The hours of the checkpoint will be between 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Celebrate Cinco de Mayo responsibly, do not drink and drive. Additional officers will be patrolling to look for impaired drivers throughout the city.
