“Participants of all ages devote their time and energy to raise funds” says Katie BIttinger, constituent events manager. “For the families living with a diagnosis, Walk shows them they are not alone in their fight to access supportive resources and to find a cure.” National Presenting Sponsors are Edward Jones and CVS Health.

Walk Day Promise Garden Ceremony
A Promise Garden Ceremony is held before the Walk begins with participants holding large colored pinwheel flowers with the color denoting how the person is impacted by Alzheimer’s disease: blue-living with the disease; yellow-caregiver to someone with the disease; orange- a supporter; purple-lost someone to the disease; white-held by a child to symbolize the hope of finding a cure. Flowers are raised in unison throughout the crowd as their relationship to the disease is called.
