Water Warning Lifted for Bay Ridge Residents

The Anne Arundel County Department of Health has lifted its warning to stay out of the water at Bay Ridge Community in Annapolis. The bacteria levels have dropped substantially.

Residents in an Annapolis community can again swim, ride their jet skis, water ski and take to the water at e Bay Ridge Community at Lake Ogleton Clubhouse Pier -- just in time to beat the heat.

High bacteria levels in the lake last week prompted a warning of poor water quality, according to the Anne Arundel County Department of Health.

The department issued a water quality advisory Friday for the Bay Ridge Community after bacteria in waster samples collected on June 9 (262 mpn*/100 milliliters of water) and June 11 (133 mpn/100 ml) exceeded the EPA standard of 104 mpn/100 ml.
