Wegmans, Costco, Whole Foods: MD Thanksgiving Grocery Store Hours

MARYLAND — Nothing incites panic like having the house fill with guests on Thanksgiving after you’ve spent days preparing and making lists for your family feast, only to realize you forgot to buy dinner rolls or the whipped cream to top the pie. Plenty of grocery stores will be open across Maryland for your last-minute shopping needs.

Here are the hours for grocery stores that will be open on Thanksgiving Day, along with a list of those that won’t. Information is taken from their websites, social media and emails to Patch. Some stores may vary:

• Wegmans Food Markets: Stores will close at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28, and will reopen at 6 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 29.
• Giant Foods: Grocery open from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.; pharmacy open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Food Lion: All stores are open regular hours.
• Safeway: Open until 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
• Weis Markets: All stores are open. Most are open until 6 p.m., with the exception of stores in Frederick, Eldersburg, La Plata, Edgewater, among others, which are open until 5 p.m. Pharmacies are closed, with the exception ones in Baltimore, Laurel, Dundalk and Frederick, which are open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Harris Teeter: Stores open 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Whole Foods: Hours vary by location. Many stores open at 7 a.m. and close as early as 2 p.m.; it's best to check their local store hours online.
• ShopRite Supermarkets: Open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.; check your local store's Facebook page or call the store to check hours.
• CVS: Hours vary but most locations are open normal hours, including 24-hour stores.
• Fresh Market: All stores open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Walmart: Open normal hours for grocery shoppers on Thanksgiving, but check with stores for variation. Black Friday deals start at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, online and 6 p.m. Thanksgiving in store.
• Target: All stores are open from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
