MD Christmas Grocery Hours: Wegmans, Harris Teeter, Whole Foods

MARYLAND — Are any Maryland grocery stores open on Dec. 25 for last-minute shopping? Many stores closed early on Christmas Eve and most are closed altogether on Christmas Day. But, there will be some shopping options to pick up a few basic items on Dec. 25.

Here are the hours for grocery stores that will be open on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, and Christmas Day, Dec. 25, along with a list of those that won't. Information is taken from their websites, social media and emails to Patch.

Some stores may vary:

• Wegmans Food Markets: Stores will close at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24; closed on Dec. 25; will reopen at 6 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 26.
• Giant Foods: All stores will close at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve, including the Catonsville and Bethesda stores that were previously open 24 hours a day. Select stores will be open on Christmas Day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., check the local store's website. All pharmacies will be closed, with the exception of the Catonsville and Bethesda stores, which also be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Pikesville will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Aldi: Christmas Eve: All stores will open with limited hours (use the store locator for hours at your location). Christmas Day: Closed
• Costco: Christmas Eve: Stores open at 9 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. Christmas Day: Closed.
• Food Lion: All stores are open until 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve and closed on Christmas Day.

• Safeway: Hours: 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Christmas Day.
• Weis Markets: All stores will close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. All pharmacies in Maryland and Virginia will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve. All stores and pharmacies are closed on Christmas Day.
• Harris Teeter: All stores will close at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24, are closed on Christmas, and will re-open at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 26.
• Whole Foods: Hours: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve and closed on Christmas Day; check your local store hours online.
• ShopRite Supermarkets: Hours vary; check your local store's Facebook page or call the store to check hours.
• CVS: Christmas Eve: Most stores open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Christmas Day: Most stores open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (excludes stores inside Target, which are closed). Pharmacy closed.
• Fresh Market: Christmas Eve: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Christmas Day: Closed.
• Target: Christmas Eve: Stores open at 7 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. Christmas Day: Closed.
• Trader Joe's: Christmas Eve: All stores close at 6 p.m. Christmas Day: Closed.
• Walmart: Hours: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve and closed on Christmas Day.
• Shoppers: Hours: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve and closed on Christmas Day.
• BJ's Wholesale Club: Christmas Eve: Open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and closed on Dec. 25.
• MOMs My Organic Market: Christmas Eve: Open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and closed on Dec. 25.
• Sam's Club: Stores close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve; closed on Dec. 25.
