AACPS Has Four National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists
Anne Arundel County Public Schools has four National Merit Scholarship semifinalists.
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Only 16,000 students nationwide are eligible to compete for 7,600 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $31 million, and among those are a handful of Anne Arundel County Public Schools students.
High school seniors who scored in the top percentile in the country on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) are qualified as National Merit Scholarship semifinalists, accounting for fewer than one percent of high school seniors.
