Arts Gala "Cuban Nights" To Be Held on January 3lst
The ARTS COUNCIL OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY has announced the date for their annual gala, CARNIVAL AROUND THE WORLD.

The Arts Council of Anne Arundel County will be hosting their annual fundraising gala—Carnival Around the World—on Saturday January 3lst. Held at the BWI Hilton, this year’s theme is Cuban Nights and will include, a cocktail reception, dinner, entertainment and dancing with a salsa beat. This will be the 17th year the Arts Council, which provides grants and support to over forty nonprofit organizations, has produced the winter Mardi Gras/Carnival event,.“ It’s our one major yearly fundraiser,” says Arts Council Executive Director April Nyman,” and we are grateful for the continued community support that helps fund visual arts, performing arts and historic preservation for Anne Arundel County.” .
This years Gala Chairs are Arts Council trustees Sydney Lamb and Roberta Pardo and Honorary Chairs are Speaker Michael E. Busch, County Executive Steve Schuh, and Mayor Mike Pantelides. Sponsors include: Annapolis Facial Plastic Surgery; BB&T Bank; Council, Baradel, Kosemerl & Nolan,; Jonathon and Marnie Kagan, Howard Bank;,Johns Hopkins Healthcare; M & T Bank; Maryland Live! Casino, Righttime Medical Care and the Schuh Foundation. The Hilton at BWI Airport is located at 1739 W. Nursery Road, Linthicum Heights, Maryland. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and dinner is served at 8:00 p.m. Valet parking is complimentary. The Arts Council of Anne Arundel County provides a resource for the cultural arts community of Anne Arundel County through advocacy, funding, programming, and promotion. The Arts Council supports a variety of groups that include the Annapolis Film Festival, Chesapeake Arts Center, Ballet Theatre of Maryland, and the South County Concert Association. The Arts Council also administers the Arts in Education Program serving both public and private Anne Arundel County Schools, which provides grant funding to bring performances and artists into auditoriums and classrooms.
