Ball Bats Used In Attack; Pasadena And Glen Burnie Teens Charged
Three Glen Burnie teens and a Pasadena teen face multiple charges after trying to rob two men, then assaulting them with a bat, police say.
BROOKLYN PARK, MD — Four teens from Pasadena and Glen Burnie face assault and drug charges after they reportedly attacked two men with a baseball bat and fired a gun shot, say Anne Arundel County Police. The encounter began about 9:30 p.m. Thursday in the 300 block of Camrose Avenue in Brooklyn Park.
Police say two men where approached by the four teens, who asked for a lighter. The victims told officers they saw one of the suspects appear to have a handgun, so the victim grabbed a nearby baseball bat. A fight began and one of the suspects took the bat from the victim and began assaulting the men with it.
During the fight, one of the suspects fired one shot before the teens fled in a vehicle. Police found a .22 caliber shell casing at the scene; no one was struck by the bullet.

The suspects' vehicle was stopped near Furnace Branch Road and Route 10. A .22 cal Browning handgun, 28.16 grams of marijuana, drug distribution packaging material, and a digital scale were seized from the vehicle, police say.
The two victims were taken to an area hospital to be treated for their injuries.

- Kenneth Pitts, 19, of the 7900 block of Parke West Drive, Glen Burnie
- D’Jean Jacobs, 19, of the 7900 block of Shari Court, Glen Burnie
- 17-year-old boy from Glen Burnie
Police say all four suspects are charged with:
- First-degree assault
- Second-degree assault
- Transporting firearm in a vehicle
- Possession with intent to distribute marijuana
- Possession of CDS paraphernalia
- Reckless endangerment
