Bathroom Fire Causes $100K In Damage To Pasadena Home

Individuals working on the plumbing of a Pasadena home in the second floor bathroom accidentally ignited a fire that caused $100,000 damage

PASADENA, MD — A bathroom fire that broke out in a Pasadena home Sept. 1 caused an estimated $100,000 in damage. The Sunday fire occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. at the two-story single-family home located at 899 Longview Ave.

More than 30 firefighters responded and it took them upwards of 15 minutes to contain the fire that was sparked when the occupants were working on the home's plumbing and accidentally ignited combustible material nearby. The home quickly filled with smoke from the second floor bathroom fire, the Anne Arundel County Fire Department reported. Three adults have since been displaced because of the fire and are being assisted by the Red Cross.
