Art, Books at Anne Arundel Community College Highlight Black History Month
Black History Month is observed in February at Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold through books, theater, dance and art.
In the Afro-Boricua Exhibit in the Pascal Center for Performing Arts gallery, Puerto Rican artist Sami Miranda shows pieces mixing everyday life and the spiritual.
Those who view the collection will see bright colors in pieces, as well as simple wooden structures and items.

The show is curated by Willfredo Valladares Lara, assistant professor of visual arts at AACC.
