Brooklyn Park Firefighter Killed In Weekend Car Crash: Police

Anne Arundel County Firefighter Brent Monroe Hahn, 24, died after crashing his truck into a tree in Manchester over the weekend, police say.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — The Anne Arundel County Fire Department is mourning the loss of one its own after Maryland State Police discovered 24-year-old Brent Monroe Hahn deceased in his Chevy Silverado pickup truck. Police found Hahn's pickup crashed into a tree along Route 27 north of Sullivan Road in Manchester Nov. 24 at approximately 4:20 a.m. Investigators aren't sure how Hahn left the road and hit the tree.

According to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, Hahn was a firefighter assigned to Station 31 in Brooklyn Park.

"It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that the Anne Arundel County Fire Department announces the passing of Firefighter II Brent Hahn of Company 31 'D' Shift. Firefighter Hahn was killed early this morning in a motor vehicle collision while off duty," said Anne Arundel County Fire Department Lieutenant Michael Mayo in a statement.
