Charges Filed After 7-Year-Old Brought Gun To School
Charges were filed Thursday in connection to the accidental shooting that took place at Freetown Elementary School, authorities confirmed.
GLEN BURNIE, MD — Charges were issued against a 34-year-old Pasadena man Thursday after a second-grade student brought a gun to a Glen Burnie elementary school, Anne Arundel County police said.
Eashan John Stefanski is charged with leaving a loaded firearm accessible to a minor.
CBS News reported that Stefanski is the boyfriend of the student's mother. Patch has reached out to the Anne Arundel County Police to confirm and will update with their response.

Police were investigating the case as an accidental shooting after the gun in the 7-year-old boy's possession was fired inside a classroom at Freetown Elementary School on Wednesday.

The boy suffered non-life-threatening injuries to his hand. While other students were present at the time, none were injured during the incident.
The school was temporarily placed on hold during the incident, with students dismissed early. Classes resumed their regular schedule Thursday as crisis counselors were made available to students and staff.
