Charitable Foundation Created By Anne Arundel County Firefighters

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — The Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighters has launched a charitable foundation designed to provide emergency assistance and support to the victims of fire, disasters and tragedies in Anne Arundel County. The foundation also will provide support for firefighters who are injured or who die in the line of duty.

The union, Local 1563 of the International Association of Fire Fighters, announced the launch at its annual Italian dinner, reported the Capital Gazette. Funds raised at the special event are used to support the Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighters Widows and Orphans Fund.
