Police said the driver lost control of the pick-up truck, started to rotate and crossed into oncoming traffic. A 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV was heading south on the bridge and could not avoid hitting the Dodge, officers reported.
A press release said the Anne Arundel County Fire Department pronounced Cole dead on the scene. Medics took the Chevy driver to MedStar Harbor Hospital in Baltimore with minor injuries.

Authorities think the primary cause of the wreck was the Dodge driver's failure to stay in a single lane. Officers said the ice was a factor.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department is investigating.
