DoodyCalls Helps Local Organizations Improve Waterways

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — A business serving pet owners in Anne Arundel County not only strives to keep yards clean from pet pooh, but also is working on a volunteer basis with local organizations to help improve the environment.

DoodyCalls takes care of properties within homeowners associations, apartment complexes, parks and private yards across all of Anne Arundel County. But the business also has teamed up with the Anne Arundel County Watershed Stewards Academy and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to educate others through master watershed stewards classes to help others understand the impact of dog waste on waterways.

DoodyCalls also has assisted several master watershed steward candidates with their final projects and donated a pet waste station and cleanup service for the beach at the Philip Merrill Environmental Center in Annapolis.

"We put our customers first while solving pet waste problems for the planet using our unmatched industry expertise. However, the health of the watersheds is very important to us. We do our part with our services and feel it's important to give back to the community by supporting clean water groups with our expertise, educational materials and time," Deb Samson, spokesperson for the company, told Patch.

The business has had a presence with its bright green trucks in Anne Arundel County since 2010. It opened for business in 2000 and has 38 locations across 15 states and in the District of Columbia.
