The show is based on the outrageously funny life of Dolly Levi, a New York-based matchmaker who merrily arranges things like furniture, daffodils, and lives. A widow, Dolly finds herself in love with a “half-a-millionaire” and Yonkers merchant named Horace Vandergelder. She proceeds to weave a web of romantic complications involving him, his two clerks, a pretty milliner, and her assistant. Eventually, all is sorted out and everyone ends up with the right person.

The cost is $85 with a $25 deposit due now to the volunteer trip chairman, Marge Torrance, who can be reached at the center from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays. For more information, see www.aacounty.org/aging and scroll down to the O’Malley Senior Center. Click on it and see “Bus Trips” for information and a trip brochure with rules, or call the center at 410-222-6227. Full payment is due by May 24.
