According to the Pascal Senior Center:
Photographer and educator Denny Lynch will present a slide-lecture on Hampden, a unique Northwest Baltimore neighborhood where he grew up and still lives with his wife. The free program about Hampden’s landmarks, architecture, history, culture and colorful characters will be held at 12:30 p.m. June 2, at the Pascal Senior Activity Center.
Mr. Lynch has images of people and places in Hampden since the early part of the 20th century. He also has more recent photographs of the old mills along the Jones Fall, schools, churches, the stores on 36th Street (“The Avenue”), the Hampden Festival, HONfest, the mayor’s Christmas Parade, and the Celebration of Christmas Lights.
